As a contributor to the YEC, my American Express article was cited, where I unveiled my favorite tactic to online sales. Introducing micro-yes, which happens when you already have something a potential consumer wants. Get to the big yes by building on a slew of little yeses. It’s easiest when you know what they want, so you can showcase your products or services in action. This leads to a customized, personalized solution, offer, or coupon that I craft just for them. They can’t resist.
Another great tip from a colleague includes offering an online checkout experience that’s easy and doesn’t require a registration. Sometimes a person is ready to hand over their money, but the site makes it too much of an inconvenience. It’s not enough to just offer a guest checkout solution. You need to offer one that’s readily available, or even the default. That shows you have the customer’s best experience in mind.
